Life update and news :)

As the weather gets more and more beautiful every day, I am able to find inspirations everywhere. This weather makes me very energized and motivated. Since I have such a long summer entirely free, I am determined to be more committed to my little blog here. I know, I know, in the past, I have always promised similar things, but I am very bad when it comes to sticking to a routine. Hopefully, and I mean I will definitely try my very best at keeping this promise. But also, I would love if you lovely people out there share the love and keep me on track.

Basically, I decided not to take on any summer courses this year. Whether that’s a good idea, only time can tell. I did fairly well during my first year at Uni, so I want to give myself a break from school, from studying, from anything remotely academic. The most logic answer will probably to get a part-time job, which I did. I am actually a freelance/on-call at my closest MAC Cosmetics counter. I will definitely elaborate on this topic in the near future; however, due to the nature of this position, I rarely have any shifts. 2 shifts per week max. Again, this leaves me a lot of free time. So, no more excuses for slacking on blogging!

Anyhow, today I just want to make a quick blog post about this life situation, nothing major, just letting you know that I will be back on track. Quite a few things have happened lately, I went almost platinum blonde, and it’s a complete DIY project with my moma. And of course this is a topic that I will definitely talk about soon. Furthermore, I opened up a new Instagram account solely dedicates to makeup. The account is @Ranmakeup Here’re some of the photos so far, please help me spread the word and follow me if you enjoy what you’re seeing here.

I also decided to start the Fully Raw 14-day challenge, it officially starts tomorrow, and I am quite nervous to be honest. This about sums up all the current events that have been happening in my life. Nothing too exciting, but I just want to share this with you. I really hope you’ll be sticking with me during my life journey, where that will take me is a mystery that waits to be solved.
That’s all for today. I really hope you are having a fabulous day. And until next time,

Detox Breakfast Smoothie

Hey dolls J I hope you are all having a fabulous day!

I’m not sure if you know this, but I am super into health and fitness. One of the best investments I’ve ever made got to be the Nutribullet! For $100, this blender is phenomenal! I might be doing a review on this blender soon, so please stay tuned. Today, I would like to share with you all a healthy detoxifying breakfast smoothie. Not only does it make you feel good inside, it tastes
absolutely delicious as well. This smoothie is approved by my mom, which says a lot. Haha

I’m not using any measurement today, just feel free to add as much as you want of each ingredient, nothing here is bad for you, so just go wild :D

You’ll need
Spinach/ kale
Celery
Ginger (this might be an odd one, but it really adds another dimension of flavour into this smoothie)
Lemon
Green apple
Frozen banana
Unsweetened almond milk

All you have to do is blend them all together, and voila! Hope you all enjoy this quick recipe and let me know what’s your favorite healthy smoothie recipe.

Essence lip liners: Satin mauve & Wish me a rose

Hey Dolls :)
I hope you are all having a fabulous day! As you might know, I am absolutely obsessed with Essence lip liners. Lately, I’ve seen a couple new ones at shoppers, so  picked up those two shades to review: Wish me a rose & Satin mauve. Once again, the formula is incredible, and at $1.49 per liner, you really can’t go wrong with that.

Those two shades remind me a lot of the ones that I already own. Wish me a rose reminds me of Cute pink, and Satin mauve reminds me of soft berry. However, they’re definitely not identical.

Wish Me a Rose

Cute Pink
First off, can I just say how adorable the name “Wish me a rose” is? I don’t know why, but unique names of cosmetics items play an essential role on whether I buy them or not. Silly, I know! Although this reminds me of Cute pink, they’re definitely different. Wish me a rose is slightly more rose shade and less Barbie pink, if that makes sense. It is a lot more vibrant and almost neonic. I’ve attached both swatches so you can decide for yourself.

Satin Mauve

Soft Berry
Satin mauve, on the other hand is not really my cup of tea. I watched a YouTube video where a girl used this and it looked incredible on her. On me however, it makes my complexion look quite dull and vampire-like. Don’t get me wrong, I am all about the vampy look, but somehow, this just doesn’t do it for me. But then, like all lip liners, they’re not supposed to be worn by itself and I am sure with a slightly different lipstick, it would suit my skin tone better. I can totally see gals with deeper skin tone rocking this color. Compared to Soft berry, this shade is more brick-red than purple. Once again, below is a comparison photo of the two.

What do you think of those new shades? Have you tried Essence lip liners? Comment below and let me know what you think!
