OOTD: Baroque and Pastel

Hi Dolls,
I have another OOTD for you all. Spring is already here, and  I am obsessed with pastel colours.
Sweater---Forever 21
Sorts---Urban Planet
Tight---Forever 21

Turqoise Ring--- Bought in Quebec

Here, I am wearing a pastel mint top with a light pink shorts. I finally got to wear those oatmeal tights. They're so different and they're quite hard to style. I really like how this outfit turns out and I hope you enjoy it as well. :)
P.S. Don't you just love the cherry blossom?

Trend Alert: 2012 Makeup Trends

I know for most fashionistas out there, you might already know all the fall/winter trends for 2012. However, let’s stay present and look chic! Here’re some of my favorite trends for spring makeup and of course, trends are just for inspiration, you can always tone it down and make it everyday friendly.

First comes the no-makeup makeup. It’s probably no surprise for many of you. Nevertheless, you can never go wrong with looking fresh and dewy for springtime.

Suit: those of you who have relatively good skin and do not require too much coverage.

Suggestion: Benefit High beam, Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer (for those of you who are on a budget, just apply some balm like Vaseline on the top of your cheek bones, trust me, it works wonder)

I’ve always been a huge fan of cat eyes, so when I saw modern winged eyeliner look as one of the trends I was quite happy. There’re all kinds of variations on the standard winger eyeliners: colored liner, super bold liner, double liner as well as futuristic ones are all over the runway.

Suit: anyone who likes to experiment with their standard flicked liners

Suggestion: Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner, Bobbi Brown Gel Liner (again, an affordable take on the colored liners would be wet eye shadow. Spray your liner brush wet and dip it into any color shadow, and voila!)

Bedroom eye! What a catchy name. haha I can’t quite distinguish this type of makeup but I think most bed eye makeup looks undone and effortless, hence the name. The common ones are super blended smoky eyes, thin liner with lots of mascara. Just keep it simple and go with it!

Suit: those people who just rolled out of bed (lol just jk); anyone really

Suggestion: good blending brush such as Mac 224

Last but not least is the matchy matchy bold lip and nails. The name might sound confusing, but really, it is just match your bold lip color with your nail lacquer. I personally love this look, it’s neat but not overdone and you can have fun with all kinds of colors. Definitely my favorite!

Suit: girls who love bold colors

Suggestion: Mac Angel with OPI Mod about you (just match it up and have fun)

What's your favorite makeup trend for this spring? What do you love about spring the most?

March 5 Loves and 1 Regret

Hi dolls, here’s my March 5 loves and 1 regret. I know this is quite late and I’m really sorry about that, but better late than never, right? :P

Love <3
1)  Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipstick in Vintage Pink
This lippie is amazing! So moisturizing and the colour is lovely. It gives a beautiful shine your lips. For me, it instantly adds some colour to my face and makes me look awake and fresh.
Left: Boy Bair ---- Right: Vintage Pink

2) Mac Cremesheen Glass in Boy Bait
I’m not a huge lip gloss girl but I can’t resist this one. Differ from most Mac lip glass, it’s not sticky at all. The formula is wonderful and it just adds a girly touch. It looks amazing on top of Vintage Pink.
3) Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circles Eraser in Neutralizer
I’ve heard a lot of good things about their regular concealer but I somehow decided to pick up the neutralizer. It’s just as wonderful and covers up my dark circles perfectly. Bye bye zombie eyes and say hello to awake and bright eyes!
4) Mac Studio Careblend Pressed Powder in Light
This is quite a new product from Mac and I love it. It sets your make up and gives a bit of coverage. It’s not cakey at all.

5) Cover Girl Eye Enhancers in Country Woods
This eye shadow quad is perfect for me. I don’t always wear makeup and I barely wear any eye shadows. But the colours here are so natural, perfect for everyday makeup.

Regret :(
Maybelline Lash Discovery Mini-brush Mascara
I really wanted to love this one. The idea is there but the formula just doesn’t work well. I probably will do an in depth review on this mascara. I’m very disappointed.
